About this blog

In 2004, newlyweds Shelley and Timshel decided that they wanted to go on an extended overseas jaunt.
Then they fell (happily accidently) pregnant. Travel postponed.
In 2005, new parents Shelley and Timshel decided that they still wanted to go on an extended overseas jaunt. By the start of 2006 they had left their jobs, packed up their home and excitedly bought a ‘travel clothesline’ which was really just a piece of elastic with hooks on the end.
On the 8th of February 2006, Timshel, Shelley, and one year old Reuben left their home in Melbourne, Australia. Shelley, a graphic designer, was looking for a chance to write, photograph and cartoon her travels. Timshel, a web techy type, was happy to indulge her bloggy whim (bless im). And so a blog was born.
The blog’s primary function is to share a little of our journey with family and friends.
