Thanks for your comment Shalome!
Spain was brilliant: the Europe of my imagination! I think you would love it's earthiness too: bookmark it for further travels!

I went there when England was still bleak, cold and grey so it was great timing to see some good friends bathed in warm sunlight. Since then, England has erupted into spring (buds on the bare trees, lambs, daffodils and sunny days) so now parts of Northern England are reminding me of Northern Spain. Namely: green hills, sunshine, cobblestone streets and gorgeous old stone buildings.

Reuben has now turned his (fickle) attention to CARS. Big cars, little cars, matchbox cars: he makes the brrmmmm brrrmmm noise and everything.

Timshel has turned his (fickle) attention to learning Italian in preparation for our trip in Italy.
Me: "Timshel, can you please change Reuben's nappy?"
Timshel: "I'll just finish this exercise in the second congation"

Oh, oh, oh! I am sure you can hear the wonderment and awe in my voice. I have quait little images of Timshel in the grocery store, bargaining with the little spanish woman, and Rueben waving wooden spoons around, and dear Shelly sitting contentedly in the sun. I am sure you enjoyed it all very much. It sounds like Spain is a place to return to!

Rueben is growing I see, and still looking as cheeky as ever.

Sending you my love, Shalome
